Manchester United Sack Erik ten Hag

Manchester United Football Club has parted ways with manager Erik ten Hag, effective immediately, following a disappointing 2-1 loss to West Ham United.

The club’s decision, announced in a statement earlier today, ends Ten Hag’s tenure less than 18 months into his three-year contract.

Sources close to the club cite inconsistent performances and poor results as key factors in the decision. Manchester United has lost four of its nine Premier League matches this season.

Ten Hag joined Manchester United in May 2022, tasked with revitalizing the team’s fortunes. Despite initial optimism, his tenure was marked by struggles to find consistency.

The club faces Leicester City in the Carabao Cup on October 30 and Chelsea in the Premier League on November 3. The search for Ten Hag’s replacement is underway.

Names touted as potential successors include: Roberto Amorim, Thomas Frank and Xavi Hernandez.

Manchester United’s swift action underscores the pressure to deliver results in the highly competitive Premier League.
